UMAI is a software provider that helps restaurants to save time and increase revenues by automating manual tasks, minimize last-minute cancellations, upsell customers more effectively and provide more personalized service.

The team has extensive experience in building internet companies and has been part of building some of the largest e-commerce ventures in the Asia Pacific Region.

Job Overview

This opportunity allows enthusiastic Inbound Sales Managers (ISMs) to work from home, or anywhere in the world, and create passive income. UMAI will provide ISMs with a steady flow of warm leads collected through digital marketing (5-8 leads per day) for our Online Ordering Product, and ISMs are responsible for scheduling and performing an online demos, closing deals over the phone, getting customers set up, and maintaining good customer service. The compensation is commission-based.

The Product

The way the world dines has been forever changed by the COVID-19 health crisis. In order to serve customers, restaurants around the world may only offer delivery and take away, and when government restrictions on dining are lifted, these channels will continue to be a significant portion of restaurants’ revenue. However, most are doing their own deliveries, and managing takeaways manually. Customers message back and forth to order, restaurants are left hoping that customers show up to pick up the order after an order is placed, and online payment is a pain.
UMAI provides software that lets customers view the menu, schedule delivery and pick up orders, and pay through the restaurant’s social media and website, eliminating the friction of manual ordering online.

UMAI charges a small commission for each transaction, and there are no upfront fees.

Reports to;

The Inbound Sales Managers report to the Head of Inbound Sales.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Quickly set up demos after leads come in
  • Learn our delivery, take away, and voucher (e.g. Online Ordering) products in and out
  • Help restaurants and cafes understand how our system works, and why they should consider using it, and close them
  • Get the restaurant set up in the system, answer any ongoing questions, and upsell them additional software in the future


  • Minimum 1 year sales experience
  • Demonstrated ability to close with a short sales cycle product
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability and interest in working independently
  • Good team player
  • Good negotiation Skills
  • Self motivated
  • Experience in F&B Industry is helpful but not required.
